In these applications, the dehumidifier is used in the control of the latent load of the building while the radiant system (under floor, ceiling or wall) manages the control of the sensible load. In this way, it avoids the formation of condensation on the surface of the radiant floor and optimizes the cooling capacity and the efficiency of the water chiller, so that it can work with the produced water temperatures much higher than the traditional 7°C (these modern systems works with cold water temperature of about 18°C), improving the overall system efficiency of about 30%. Some units are now also available with a built in mechanical ventilation system, that allows the fresh air treatment through a heat recovery having 90% thermal efficiency.
